This is one of my favorite projects. I love assignments that give me another excuse to use my field recorder. I like the voyeuristic elements of it. There are no good places to sit and make a recording near the circulation desk, so I stood at the closest shelfs in earshot (the DVD's) and recorded as I looked at movies. There was construction happening outside and a librarian helping a woman with her email at one of the computers, then some people came to check out. The first minute you hear is the piece I uploaded to the Bibliobeep project. I isolated just the part with the most beeps.
The next minute I take the original recordings first minute, and layer it with a an excerpt that I added reverb ad delay to.
