about

I played a show at Strange Maine in Portland a couple years ago. I had played there a few times already, and was not sure what I was gonna do this time. A couple of hours before the show I walked across the street from the place I had been living, to a yard sale. I found a broken metal whisk. It had a great ring to it.
That night I played the whisk with a bow.
I now have a set of whisks.
This recording also features fretless bass. The D and G strings are prepared with a bobby pin, between the neck and the neck pick up.
